- Set up and manage monitoring frameworks, targets, and data collection tools to ensure projects are on track.
- Provide daily support to project coordinators and provincial teams to meet their specific DM&E needs.
- Track and report on program outcomes and outputs, creating case studies where necessary.
- Make sure that DM&E plans are fully integrated into project work plans with clear roles and deadlines.
- Help coordinate external evaluations, including managing contracts and teams.
- Maintain an organized database on Google Drive and GMS to record program outputs and outcomes.
- Work with Project Coordinators to compile monthly and quarterly reports for the leadership team and donors.
- Participate in internal evaluations and contribute to Search’s learning initiatives.
- Assist the DM&E Coordinator in supporting teams to create and execute their M&E plans.
- Build staff and partner skills in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
- Keep an updated list of beneficiaries and stakeholders to track project impact.
- Help the DM&E Coordinator review and update project log frames and indicators.
- Analyze both qualitative and quantitative data, ensuring that findings are presented clearly in reports.
- Contribute to identifying good practices and lessons learned from projects.
- Regularly meet with the Afghanistan team to discuss project progress and provide insights for improvement.
- Support organizational growth by sharing knowledge and promoting learning within the team.
- Stay informed about local conflict dynamics to ensure projects remain relevant and impactful.
- Travel to field sites when needed to oversee and support DM&E efforts.
- Must-Have:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 5 years of experience in DM&E, especially within civil society or NGOs.
- A minimum of 1 year’s experience in field-based data collection and analysis.
- Proficiency in logical and results framework planning, as well as evaluation methodologies.
- Strong commitment to transparency, community empowerment, and continuous learning.
- High standards of professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel within Afghanistan and, if needed, internationally.
