About Us
DAI Global, LLC (DAI) is leading a new USAID-funded agriculture initiative designed to revitalize agricultural livelihoods and foster private sector involvement to tackle food insecurity, bridge income gaps, empower target populations, and strengthen community resilience against climate change. The program collaborates closely with local systems actors, including anchor firms, business development and advisory services (BDAS) providers, educational and financial institutions, and community groups.
Central to its approach is a competitive, performance-based Partnership Facility (PF) that designs interventions grounded in Afghan expertise, actively involves target populations, and utilizes resources to promote local ownership and sustainability. The initiative adopts a private sector-driven, market systems development (MSD) strategy aimed at influencing behavior among local system actors.
Through this approach, the program seeks to enhance Afghan livelihoods and improve agricultural sector outcomes by achieving the following goals:
- Improved Food Security through greater resilience, productivity, diversification, and stability in agricultural value chains.
- Strengthened Community Resilience to climate change impacts, particularly water stress.
- Increased Economic Empowerment of target populations.
