Job Summary

The MD intern will provide assistant and support to health team and will perform the following duties:

Duties & Responsibilities

Assisting in outpatient and inpatient care: Providing hands-on support in patient care under the direct supervision of senior physicians, ensuring patients receive the necessary treatment.

Participating in patient rounds: Actively engaging in rounds with physicians, discussing patient cases, diagnostic findings, treatment plans, and collaborating on care strategies to enhance clinical decision-making.

Performing basic medical procedures: Assisting in a variety of routine medical procedures such as blood draws, wound care, and patient assessments, while under the guidance of experienced healthcare professionals.

Learning and refining clinical skills: Gaining practical exposure to specialized skills and techniques in various medical fields, with the goal of progressively becoming more autonomous in performing basic clinical tasks.

Learn and Practice managing and maintaining medical documentation: Contributing to accurate, thorough, and up-to-date patient records, ensuring all medical interventions, diagnoses, and treatments are properly documented for continuity of care.

Observing medical equipment and diagnostic tools: Acquiring knowledge about medical devices, diagnostic instruments, and laboratory techniques, while learning how to use them efficiently under supervision.

Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelor or Diploma in Midwifery from a recognized University or Institute.

Experience:

Fresh Graduate with no experience

The duty station of the intern will be the host entity (Al- Hayat Hospital) and the salary will be paid by Islamic Relief Worldwide- Afghanistan (IRW- A) based on agreement.
